Almost got myself killed !

About 3 weeks ago, when I was driving my Corolla home, and on the way back I had a flat tire all of the sudden. I pulled over and attempted to change it with a spare in the trunk, something that most of us would do in a situation like such, and I thought it was rather easy. So I tried it and NO, just when I thought it was a no brainer that I could jack the car up, the 5 nuts, however, were so tightly screwed on the wheel that I was just too weak to unscrew them. Luckily some nice guy drove by not long after and stopped, he got out and helped me with it. The next thing I knew was that I had to pay over 4 hundred dollars to replace not just one tire, but all 4 of those rubber donuts !! The mechanic at… |
